Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license (Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Intensive).
- Candidates eligible for licensure and willing to complete additional requirements may also be considered.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and educational staff.
- Physical capability to assist students with mobility needs and perform lifting as required.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized educational programs.
- Deliver instruction that supports academic, vocational, social, and life-skill development.
- Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation.
- Collaborate with support staff, related service providers, and families.
- Participate in meetings, school activities, and student-centered planning processes.
Work Environment
This role may involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens, communicable diseases, and potentially aggressive behavior. Employees must adhere to safety protocols and Ohio Employment Risk Reduction Standards, using protective equipment as needed.
Schedule & Salary
- 7 hours per day during the school year
- Starting salary: $41,413 – $53,836 annually, based on experience
