As an ER RN Supervisor, you will lead a team of nursing staff in providing quality care to critically ill patients in a specialty hospital. You will oversee staffing needs, develop nursing protocols, and participate in ongoing training and compliance activities. This role requires strong leadership skills and a commitment to service excellence in a challenging healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee hospital staff to ensure quality care and compliance with policies and regulations.
- Provide professional guidance for nursing personnel, manage disciplinary issues, prepare administrative reports, review staffing and budgetary needs, and integrate Nursing Services functions with other hospital departments.
- Participate in program development and training for nurse-recruitment activities and assist with continuing education programs.
- Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate designated nursing staff; assign duties and coordinate nursing services.
- Develop nursing protocols and procedures.
- Provide continuing education and staff development opportunities for nursing staff.
- Assess patient needs, provide nursing care, and ensure services are carried out and documented appropriately.
- Maintain patient health care records.
- Manage supply inventory records; order supplies and equipment as necessary.
- Promote adherence to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Corporate Compliance Agreement by monitoring employee performance and identifying and responding to compliance issues.
- Appropriate degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- Additional state requirements as applicable.
- Valid Registered Nurse / RN license in the state.
- BCLS and ACLS certification.
- Two years of Registered Nurse / RN nursing experience in a hospital.
- One to two years supervisory/leadership experience.
