Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a General Liability and Excess Liability Underwriter, based in Dallas, TX, with flexibility for remote work. The Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing insurance applications, assessing risks, and determining coverage terms and policy premiums. Additional responsibilities include preparing detailed reports, communicating with brokers and clients, maintaining compliance with regulatory guidelines, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge of the Excess and Surplus Lines industry
- Wholesale brokerage contacts
- Proficiency in risk assessment, policy evaluation, and underwriting processes
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in financial analysis and interpreting complex data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and team collaboration
- Attention to detail and proficiency in compliance with regulatory standards
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities effectively
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Insurance, or a related field
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools, including underwriting applications and Microsoft Office Suite
