Creative Video Editor (Trailers & Social Content)

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Creative Video Editor (Trailers & Social Content) for a dynamic creator-led media company based in Los Angeles, CA. This is a hybrid position with flexible work-from-home capability and occasional in-person collaboration in Los Angeles.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This role focuses on crafting high-impact, narrative-driven trailers and short-form content designed to elevate creator-led media and podcast intellectual property. The ideal candidate is a strong visual storyteller with the ability to transform long-form content into engaging, platform-native edits optimized for audience growth and retention. This position sits at the intersection of creative storytelling, digital performance, and AI-enhanced editing workflows. You will collaborate closely with creative, production, and growth teams to shape content that performs across YouTube, TikTok, and other social platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Edit long-form podcast and interview content into high-performing trailers and short-form narratives
• Identify standout moments and craft cohesive, emotionally compelling story arcs
• Develop platform-native content optimized for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other digital channels
• Collaborate with creative, strategy, and production teams to improve engagement and retention performance
• Integrate AI tools into editing workflows to enhance speed, creativity, and production efficiency
• Support experimental content development and iterative testing for audience growth optimization

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong storytelling instincts and advanced video editing capabilities
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, and Photoshop
• Experience using AI-powered creative tools such as Runway, Descript, Firefly, ElevenLabs, or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of digital performance metrics and audience engagement across social platforms
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in fast-paced creative environments

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This full-time opportunity offers a competitive salary range of $90,000–$110,000 base, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and additional company perks (details provided during the interview process).
