Role Overview

A telephony Clinical dietitian delivers expert nutritional guidance through HIPAA-compliant telephone or video consultations. This role supports clients in achieving their health goals by developing personalized nutrition plans and offering ongoing support remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct nutrition assessments via phone or video, considering medical history, lifestyle, and dietary habits.
• Develop and monitor individualized meal plans tailored to client needs.
• Use motivational interviewing (MI), stages of change (TTM), and strengths-based counseling techniques.
• Schedule and conduct follow-up calls to track progress and adjust plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.
• Document all interactions in electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with privacy regulations.
• Educate clients on chronic disease management, weight loss, and general wellness.
• Respond to client inquiries via phone, video, or secure messaging platforms.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) or Dietitian-Nutritionist (LDN) credential.
• Licensure in applicable state(s), if required.
• Experience with telehealth platforms and remote counseling.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a remote caseload.

• Familiarity with digital health tools (e.g., BMI calculators, glucose monitors).
• Experience with elderly or chronic care populations.
• Bilingual abilities (a plus for diverse client bases).
