Role Overview
We're looking for a seasoned full-stack engineer with a strong architectural mindset and a passion for building scalable, high-impact solutions. This role blends hands-on development, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced ecommerce environment.
🔧 What You'll Be Doing
🧠 Technical Architecture & Solution Planning
- Convert business needs and functional specs into robust, scalable technical designs
- Architect integrations across multiple systems with a focus on performance and usability
- Ensure all solutions align with enterprise architecture and UX best practices
💻 Full-Stack Engineering
- Build intuitive front-end interfaces using ReactJS/NextJS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Develop backend services and APIs using Node.js, ExpressJS, and related frameworks
- Design and manage relational and non-relational databases (SQL/NoSQL)
- Integrate external APIs and third-party services seamlessly
- Optimize application performance, security, and responsiveness
- Maintain clean, well-documented, and testable code
🌀 Agile Delivery & Project Execution
- Lead development efforts in Agile/Scrum environments from concept to deployment
- Partner with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to manage sprints and delivery timelines
- Oversee QA, testing, and documentation throughout the development lifecycle
- Identify and implement process improvements to boost team efficiency
🤝 Collaboration & Technical Leadership
- Work closely with business stakeholders to support rollout, training, and adoption
- Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct peer code reviews
- Stay ahead of emerging tech trends and contribute to long-term digital strategy
🧠 What You Bring
- 10 years of experience in web application development
- 8 years of hands-on JavaScript development
- 5 years in B2B ecommerce environments
- 5 years working with BigCommerce or similar platforms
- 2 years leading development teams or projects
- 3 years collaborating with offshore teams
- Strong proficiency in ReactJS/NextJS, Node.js, ExpressJS, HTML, CSS
- Solid experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and tools (GitHub, Jira, Confluence)
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Comfortable working in Microsoft Office and Windows environments
