MWD Lab Technician

• Must have a thorough understanding of MWD tools and services in an operational district.
• Comprehensive understanding of customer requirements.
• Must have a full understanding of processes and procedures of the operating area.
• Participate in developing testing and maintenance procedures.
• Receive used tools from field operations and perform preventative maintenance and repair as required.
• Participate in root cause analysis with engineering team.
• Must demonstrate proficiency in use of PC's and other MWD computer software.
• Ability to use specialized skills, knowledge and techniques in problem recognition and solution    development.
• Able to troubleshoot and diagnose MWD tools.
• Ability assist MWD trainees and assist the MWD team on any questions they might have.
• Responsible for MWD products/services in a single legal entity.
• Monitors daily progress of job(s) or project(s).
• Works independently under general supervision, requiring normal guidance and review.
• Provides some technical guidance and work direction to MWD staff.
• Effectively manages MWD inventory and supplies.
• Perform other related duties and/or special projects as required/assigned.
• Must consistently demonstrate leadership within SDI interdependent safety culture.

• Learns quickly and adapts to new problems and situations.

• Uses logic to solve problems with effective solutions.

Education, Experience & Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 2-year associates degree or equivalent.
• Completion of SDI required HSE and skill level training or equivalent.
