Position Summary:

The PM is responsible for managing and reporting on various projects as assigned by the CEO and Managing Partner of the lab.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the planning, implementing, monitoring, and execution phases of various projects:Research and Implementation of Laboratory Information System;

Improvement and Maintenance of Internal Recordkeeping;
Research and Reporting to CEO and Managing Partner on Efficiencies, Equipment Upgrades, Space Requirements, etc.; and,
Research and Implementation of Lab/Admin Training Programs for Professional Development.

• Builds Project Management structure and tools to track multiple laboratory workflows and deliverables to multiple clients simultaneously.
• Oversees the process from sample submission, scheduling, results review, internal reporting, and external reporting in collaboration with Client Relations Manager.
• Ensures delivery of timely results from the analytical testing laboratory to the Client Relations Manager for reporting to clients.
• Manages and communicates pipeline of activities to identify and resolve bottlenecks, clarifies priorities, and assures results are delivered in contracted turnaround times.
• Collaborates with Lab Manager, Compliance Manager, and Client Relations Manager to ensure deliverables are completed on schedule and to client expectations.
• Leads weekly project tracking and resourcing meetings.

Requirements:

• STEM BS (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) with 5 years of experience in a Project Manager role.
• Project management training and certification(s) preferred but not required.
• Highly organized with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-stress environment.
• Experienced in MS Office suite and Excel power-user.
• Competency in multiple project management software packages.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
