Microelectronics Integration Engineer

We are looking for a hands-on Microelectronics Integration engineer to support development of our next-generation medical implants. You will focus on heterogeneous integration to develop mass-transfer processes, integration and packaging schemes, and test methods that prove out the devices you build.

Role responsibilities:

• Develop, optimize, and qualify microelectronic mass transfer processes
• Develop substrate integration processes including bonding, interconnect formation, and packaging of devices
• Execute accelerated lifetime testing on integrated devices
• Execute in-process metrology and failure analysis for integrated devices

Key qualifications:

• Hands-on experience developing mass transfer, heterogeneous integration, and/or die attach processes
• Hands-on experience with thin-film processing and cleanroom microfabrication
• Hands-on experience with reliability testing
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with implantable devices
• Experience with packaging and encapsulation materials
• Experience scaling a process from R&D through pilot or production

Salary/Pay Range:

Science is required under California law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. We determine your level based on your interview performance and make an offer based on the indicated salary band. The base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000-190,000 annually equity benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please keep in mind that the equity portion of the offer is not included in these numbers.
