Access Control Service Technician
SCI Electronics is seeking an Access Control (AC) Service Technician to troubleshoot, maintain, and oversee the quality of AC, CCTV, and Audio systems. This role requires a blend of technical mastery, client-facing professionalism, and administrative accuracy.
Core Responsibilities
System Troubleshooting: Perform advanced diagnostics on Access Control (Maxxess, Keri, Brivo), CCTV (Analog/IP), and Audio (70V/EVAC).
Access Control Mastery: Execute hard/soft resets, manage database initializations, build custom schedules, and audit credentials.
Infrastructure & Cabling: Terminate and test Coaxial and Category cable; perform Fiber splicing (Fusion/Unicam) and testing (OTDR/Fluke Versiv).
Hardware Installation: Install and repair mag-locks, strikes, sensors, IP cameras, and rack components.
Service Management: Coordinate with the Service Manager for RMAs, accurate time-coding, and detailed customer documentation.
Technical Skills & Requirements
Networking: Knowledge of basic networking (IP/DHCP/Static), Daisy Chain, Star, and Ring architectures.
Electrical: Understanding of bonding/grounding, lightning protection, and wattage requirements.
Tools: Must provide own basic hand tools (Multi-meter, Toner, Soldering set, etc.).
Physical: Ability to use PPE (Hardhat, steel toes) and maintain a clean driving record.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: Proven track record in low voltage troubleshooting and client-facing service.
Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and service management databases.
Preferred: Manufacturer certifications in CCTV or Access Control.
