Position Summary
The Parts Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, accurate, and efficient delivery of automotive parts to Schwieters’ customers and internal departments. This role is customer-facing and plays a key part in representing our dealership with professionalism through timely deliveries, clear communication, and dependable service. The position also supports parts department operations between deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
· Safely drive a dealership delivery vehicle, including box trucks, to transport parts to commercial customers and internal departments.
· Load and unload parts, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.
· Set up delivery routes in a logical, efficient order based on daily schedules.
· Verify all orders and deliveries using dealership tools (including hand-held scanners).
· Maintain required delivery documentation such as trip sheets, driver logs, mileage logs, and return slips.
· Notify the Parts Manager of out-of-stock items or customer concerns requiring attention.
· Assist with pulling and filling orders, stocking incoming parts, and performing weekly bin checks to maintain inventory accuracy.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle, parts storage areas, and workspaces.
· Provide professional, courteous customer service at every stop and help build strong customer relationships.
· Follow all company safety policies and drive defensively at all times.
Qualifications & Skills
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
· Health card required.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and handle the physical demands of the role.
· Proficient in basic computer use, GPS navigation, and handheld scanning tools.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
· Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
· Professional, presentable, and customer-service focused.
