Position Summary
The Gourmandie is a specialty food and wine market located in Schweitzer's Village. The Clerk is responsible for both guest facing and back of house food prep.
Essential Functions And Major Responsibilities
License/Certifications - SafeServe certification preferred and Idaho Beverage Seller training preferred
Technical - Point of Sale computer system familiarity, Cash handling skills
Physical Capabilities - Able to walk/stand for a full shift (potentially for up to 10 hours), lift up to 50 lbs.
Additional - comfortable around sharp kitchen equipment
Education/Related Experience
Minimum education required - English reading, writing and communication. High School or GED preferred
Minimum time in related position -6 months in food retail preferred

- Welcome customers, offering exceptional guest service.
- Take customer food & drink orders with the ability to recommend products from the menu as well as the beverage selections.
- Create and produce outstanding food and unique deli items.
- Stock, rotate and merchandise market items.
- Assisting with the tidying of tables and keeping the outlet areas clean and organized.
- Ensuring kitchen and service utensils are properly prepared and / or cleaned at opening and closing to comply with health regulations.
- Work schedule will include weekends and holidays.
