This is an opportunity to work in the SEL Targeted Sales and Development (TS&D) team. This role focuses on the SEL-POWERMAX® Garrison Microgrid protection and control system technology. You will be in an intensive learning environment for in the design, development, sales, TESTING, documentation, and commissioning of closed loop control and protection systems for engines, turbines, generators, inverters, AND RENEWABLE energy resources.

As a Technician/Specialist, a typical day might include the following:
- Applying fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of power system PROTECTION, CONTROL, AND AUTOMATION.
- Participating in the design, development, testing, installation, integration, commissioning and support of POWERMAX GARRISON MICROGRIDS.
- Completing assigned work using established processes.
- Completing assigned work within agreed upon scope, schedule and budget while focusing on quality and safety.

Preferred Qualifications:
- US Military Experience
- College coursework in energy conversion, power electronics, microgrids, modelling, engines, electric power and/or controls (power system protection, symmetrical components, programming, control systems)
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate
- Work experience in electric utilities, industrial plants, communications, computer programming, or construction

Pay Range Data
We anticipate filling this position as a Specialist II $58,100.00- $90,900.00.
We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
