2nd and 3rd shift Industrial Maintenance Technician

This position is in Youngstown, Ohio. Qualified candidates would relocate to the area. A $7,500 sign on/relocation bonus* will be provided to new hires relocating from out of state.

We are looking for experienced industrial maintenance technicians--great pay, overtime opportunities, and the ability to work for one of the area's most recognized and long-standing employers! Job Duties:

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Makes repairs as needed
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges
• Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance
• Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests
• Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Able to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot 110 VAC, 240/480 VAC 3 phase
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  
  

Requirements:

• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends
• Must have basic math and communication skills and knowledge to accomplish required paperwork, and read technical manuals, instructions, safety and warning signs, etc
• Must have knowledge and ability to safely and proficiently use a variety of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment
• Should be skilled at operating welding/ brazing equipment, lathes, milling machines and other shop equipment
• Must have ability to routinely and frequently stoop, bend, reach, climb ladder/ scaffolds, often required to work in tight, cramped spaces
• Must have good hand-eye coordination and possess motor skills enabling mobility and quick reflexes, as well as dexterity in ceiling height areas
• Must have visual/hearing ability sufficient to recognize or detect equipment malfunctions and warning devices/ signs

Additional Requirements

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Any offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen (including marijuana).

• To receive the signing / relocation amount there will be a requirement to stay with the company for 18 months or repay the amount paid
  
  

Physical Qualifications:

• Properly wears personal protective equipment as supplied and directed by the company; wears uniform/clothing in accordance with GMP/ company standards
• Must have the ability to sit, stand, bend and walk through shift.
• Must have the ability to lift, maneuver or carry at least 50 pounds.
