What You'll Be Doing:
Tasks may include:
- Ensure the well-being of animals by providing proper care, including access to food, water, and a safe, comfortable environment.
- Assist with the safe movement and handling of animals.
- Support the administration of treatments and vaccinations to animals as directed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to animal care and health.
- Assist with the processing of animals, following established procedures.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Maintain required PQA certifications (training provided on the job).
- Adhere to all biosecurity protocols to ensure the safety and health of the animals and the workplace.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork by collaborating with coworkers to achieve shared goals, embrace new technologies, and participate in various projects.
- Uphold Schwartz Farms' core values of integrity, respect, excellence, and adaptability in all aspects of work.
- Support SFI's animal welfare policies, focusing on promoting animal well-being, addressing any issues that hinder proper care, and reporting instances of mistreatment or abuse.
- Be prepared to take on additional tasks as needed to support the team and business operations.
