What You Will Do
- Lead preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of conveyor systems and production machinery to ensure continuous, efficient plant operations.
- Execute major equipment repairs, fabrication, construction, and installation projects, including welding to food-safe standards and precise mechanical assembly.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues through detailed inspection, use of precision measuring tools, and interpretation of mechanical schematics.
- Fabricate and maintain critical plant components such as guards, doors, steps, shafts, sprockets, and mounting brackets using lathes, metal sheers, benders, and welding equipment.
- Provide training and guidance to production teams on maintenance best practices to reduce downtime and ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols.
- High school diploma or GED; two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred.
- 5 years of related experience. Operating knowledge of machine shop related equipment, CNC programming and welding experience preferred.
- Advanced mechanical knowledge, electrical and basic to advanced building skills
- Experience with high-speed manufacturing equipment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
