Schwabe currently has an opening in its Portland, Oregon office for a full-time lawyer to work in a thriving, diverse real estate practice. The ideal candidate will have:
· Juris Doctorate (J.D.) Degree from an ABA-accredited law school
· 3 years of experience with commercial real estate transactions, particularly within the energy sector, including:
o Purchase & sale agreements
o Real estate due diligence, including title review
o Leasing
o Real estate finance transactions
o Development-related contracts
· Strong interest in engaging in real estate and energy/natural resource industry groups and business development
· Excellent academic credentials and professional references, as well as solid legal research, writing, and communication skills
· Demonstrated ownership of projects and willingness to work hard in a team-oriented setting, but with significant independence
· A track record showing exemplary client service, organizational skills, and teamwork
· Excellent skills in legal research, analysis, writing, and in communication
· Oregon State Bar admission or eligibility for reciprocity

The base pay range for this position is $165,000-$200,000, depending on job skills and legal practice experience relevant to the position. The position is also eligible for productivity and discretionary merit bonus consideration at the end of each calendar year. In order to cultivate our collaborative culture and better serve our firm clients, most lawyer positions at Schwabe require in-person work in our offices on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with flexibility on Mondays and Fridays to work offsite.
