SV Sports is seeking a driven, sports-oriented sales professional to develop and lead a team to bring event specific products directly to players and teams at tournaments.
Who we are:
SV Sports based has a multichannel sports business that is rapidly moving into the direct-to-consumer event retail space. We have an initial calendar of 30 to 50 basketball tournaments where we are the merchandise partners with tournament organizers. You would be our operations leader at all events. These events are on weekends primarily in the Northeast.
What you will do:
You would be responsible for developing the team to travel to these events. In addition, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of the retail sales setup. These include scheduling travel to and from the destination, setting up, sales, the breakdown and the inventory pack up.
You would work directly with our VP of Merchandising and store operations. Together you will build the calendar and product assortment for these events. The position is based would in our offices, warehouse and production facility in Reading PA.
What you will bring to the job:
You MUST be a self-starter with a desire to build a business from the ground up. You should have 2-3 years of event retail and/or on-site marketing activations experience with a sports or entertainment company. An outgoing personality and the ability to interact with players, parents and fans is essential. A current valid driver’s license is a must!
The other stuff:
The schedule is typically 3 to four days over the weekend at the event and 1 to 2 days in the office/warehouse with 2 days off.
There is a base salary that is based on experience. There will also be additional compensation based on sales and inventory control targets.
