Schuyler Hospital is looking for dedicated RN's for our Med/Surg Department. The RN will be responsible for performing the primary functions of an RN in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of all patients, regardless of age during the shift. Responsible for meeting the established Medical-Surgical standards of nursing practice. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Manages assigned personnel, supplies and equipment in the unit. Promotes teamwork with staff, physicians and ancillary personnel. GN's are encouraged to apply for this position. Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York. Will successfully complete unit specific orientation skills list, medication and IV classes. Will successfully complete required credentialing. Ability to work long hours / shifts. Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred. Skills: Basic computer knowledge. Physical Demands: Skin integrity must be intact, and be able to tolerate frequent handwashing and glove usage.
