SIGN ON BONUS!! We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medical Technician (CMT) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care environments. This role offers an opportunity to provide high-quality patient care while working with diverse populations, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those requiring specialized dementia or hospice care. The CMT will be responsible for supporting patient well-being through accurate medical procedures, documentation, and compassionate caregiving. This will be a full time position that will include CMT and CNA days
Duties
- Perform patient assessments by monitoring vital signs and recording medical data using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic and Cerner.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including hygiene, mobility support, and medication administration in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support patients with specialized needs such as tube feeding, catheter care, and medication management.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to deliver comprehensive care for patients with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other memory-related conditions.
- Provide compassionate caregiving in various settings including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, hospice, and home care environments.
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition; communicate effectively with team members regarding patient needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment adhering to infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Technician (CMT) certification required.
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or home care settings preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and patient care procedures.
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or in dementia/memory care is a plus.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs measurement, medication administration, catheter care, and tube feeding accurately.
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills; ability to work effectively with diverse populations including seniors and individuals with disabilities.
- Must be able to pass background checks and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations. This role provides an essential service within our healthcare community by delivering compassionate patient-centered care across multiple settings while supporting the health and dignity of those we serve.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.50 - $20.50 per hour
