Logistic Coordinator

On-site Role

Schutz Container System, a Global Packaging company is searching for a Logistic Analyst for our corporate office located in Somerville, NJ

The Logistics Analyst has overall responsibility for coordinating shipments from origin to the proper Schuetz plant.

Summary of Duties

• Identify available shipments in database
• Communicate necessary shipment information to proper trucking companies
• Coordinate shipment pricing with carrier and logistics management
• Monitoring shipments to ensure specific requirements are met
• Maintain accuracy of shipment database
• Developing ideas to improve the quality of products and procedures
• Communicating with Customer Service on shipment status
• Track customer trailer usage
• Communicate trailer reconciliation with customer and SCS Management
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Requires basic analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills via e-mail and phone
• Comfortable working with computer based software (SAP a plus)
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Good understanding of the trucking industry

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Minimum HS Diploma. Further education preferred.
• Must have at least 2 years of related experience in manufacturing/logistics.
• Must have basic computer proficiency with Word, Excel, and email. Experience with SAP is a plus.
