The Welder 1 uses hand-welding, flame-cutting, gas metal arc welding (MIG) or gas tungsten arc welding (TIG) to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.

The Welder 1 uses hand-welding, flame-cutting, gas metal arc welding (MIG) or gas tungsten arc welding (TIG) to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.
Essential Functions
- Operate and maintain all welding machinery.
- Identify most efficient type of weld based on information specified on work order/prints, which includes but is not limited to, determining type of material and required surface finish.
- Proficient in operating Mig and Tig welding equipment, cold saws, tauring rollers and other tools and equipment as required, to complete the fabrication process.
- Perform related tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding, plasma, and oxy/acetylene.
- Operate forklift as needed.
- Perform required maintenance as needed or required for the fabrication department.
- Comply with mandated ISO quality procedures.
- Assist in performing inspections of parts.
- Provide support to other manufacturing and quality personnel when needed.
- Assist with organizational duties as needed.
- Maintain internal project list and completes projects as scheduled.
- Maintain clean work environment.
- Interact in-person with peers and management for the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to handle high stress situations.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
