Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Moving Company Warehouse Manager to oversee our Hayward warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Moving Industry experience, working with crews , and fleet assets. This role requires a strong leader who can drive process improvements, manage inventory effectively, and ensure the efficient flow of goods through the warehouse. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and quality while optimizing costs and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage profit & loss statements to ensure financial targets are met.
- Utilize transportation management systems for effective logistics planning.
- Supervise warehouse staff and provide training to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
- Coordinate demand planning and production planning activities to align with business needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory control using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and manage relationships with vendors for procurement and purchasing.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations related to freight handling and shipping & receiving processes.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance across the supply chain.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a supervisory role within warehouse operations.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, including inventory management, logistics, and materials management.
- Experience with transportation planning, fleet management, and dispatching processes.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of freight operations, shipping & receiving protocols, and order fulfillment processes is essential.
