Multifamily Building Maintenance Technician

Schulte Staffing Solutions is seeking a hands-on technician to support a 77-unit residential property in Gloucester, MA. This is a temporary role (6–8 months minimum) with the possibility to extend or transition to permanent.

Is this you?

• Do you show up on time and take pride in reliable work?
• Can you diagnose a leaky pipe, unclog a toilet, and fix minor leaks?
• Are you comfortable troubleshooting common household appliances?
• Do you carry the basic tools of the trade and know how to use them safely?
• Can you work independently, yet collaborate smoothly with one teammate?
• Do you have prior apartment maintenance experience and the physical stamina for daily tasks?
• Do you have your own transportation to Gloucester?

What you’ll do

• Perform general apartment and building repairs and upkeep
• Handle light plumbing: unclogging, leak fixes, small fixture issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic appliance issues (stove, refrigerator, etc.)
• Complete common household tasks like changing lightbulbs and minor repairs
• Conduct basic preventative maintenance
• Participate in an on-call rotation every other weekend

This is not an HVAC or specialized mechanical technician position.

Schedule and compensation

• Start window: 7:00 AM–9:00 AM (flexible)
• Shift: 8 hours, Monday–Friday
• On-call: Every other weekend
• Pay: $25–$27/hour, depending on experience

Preferred profile

• Previous apartment maintenance experience (required)
• General maintenance/handyman experience (preferred)
• Proficiency in plumbing and facilities maintenance
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Physically able to perform maintenance tasks
• Own transportation to Gloucester, MA
