Step into your day shaping metal with precision
At a fast-paced metal fabrication shop, your morning begins at 6:00am on a Mazak HCN-5000. You’ll load fixtures, verify offsets, select tooling, and refine programs right at the control. By midday, you’re alternating between horizontal and vertical mills—including Mazak 700 or comparable machines—dialing in tight tolerances, interpreting complex blueprints, and collaborating with teammates to keep production on target. You wrap up at 2:30pm with the option to stay for overtime if you choose.
What you’ll handle
- Set up and run CNC milling centers (horizontal and vertical)
- Program, prove-out, and edit using FANUC controls (G-code)
- Hold tight tolerances and uphold rigorous quality standards
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Collaborate with the team to meet daily and weekly production goals
What you bring
- Hands-on experience with Mazak HCN-5000 or similar horizontal mills
- Deep familiarity with FANUC programming and setup
- Blueprint literacy and skilled use of precision measurement tools
- Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting aptitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
Schedule & pay
Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm | Overtime optional | $30–$35/hr
