Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Follow direction from Food & Beverage Manager to support smooth event execution
- Interpret Banquet Event Order (BEO) documents and carry out event setup and service in alignment with the details provided
- Prepare banquet rooms for events, including setting tables, linens, dishes, glassware, and silverware
- Bus and set tables, including food, beverages, and condiments as needed
- Serve food and beverages to guests during events, following service standards
- Provide attentive and professional guest service, ensuring needs are met promptly
- Assist in cleaning and organizing event spaces at the completion of events
- Monitor and restock supplies as needed throughout service
- Maintain cleanliness and operational standards for all banquet equipment
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a healthy work environment
- Contribute ideas and effort to improve event setup, service flow, and guest satisfaction
- Comfort lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods of time
- Assist Poindexter Coffee as a barista when necessary
- Welcome and assist customers by determining their coffee preferences and needs
- Educate guests by presenting and explaining the coffee menu
- Prepare and sell coffee beverages following established recipes and preparation techniques
- Maintain inventory by replenishing coffee beans, supplies, and pastries
- Keep coffee equipment clean and in working order by following instructions and performing routine maintenance
- Support café operations by maintaining organization, cleanliness, and overall appearance of the bar
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma/GED
- Prior Food Service experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts
