JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains high sanitation standards throughout the area of responsibility
- Ensures organized and clean storage areas for all food
- Ensures that all food items are properly handled, labeled and stored at the conclusion of the shift properly rotates inventory
- Prepares food according to chef recipes for dinner
- Maintains clean and orderly storage areas and product pars
- Ability to maintain fine dining service standards for self and team.
- Must be well groomed and in proper uniform
- Must be self-motivated and willing to assist team with any job necessary Maintain inventory of station and communicate with sous chef or executive chef on items missing from station
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale chef driven restaurant required
- Proficiency in savory or garde-manger techniques
- Maintaining a clean and orderly station and kitchen line
- Experience in Spanish food preferred or knowledge in Spanish products
- Experience with charcoal cooking and protein butchery preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Advanced understanding of sanitation and regulations for workplace safety.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with chefs and co workers
- Knowledge of food preparation health and safety guidelines
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts
- Ability to multi-task
- Team player
