Job Summary
As a Marine Technician, you are responsible for performing maintenance, service, and installations on all marine equipment, including engines (inboard, outboard, and I/O), generators, and all on-board systems. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, with the capacity to work unsupervised, is an effective communicator with co-workers and customers, and seeking long-term employment.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Diagnose and troubleshoot all aspects of marine systems including general engine maintenance/service; running gear; hydraulic/plumbing systems; oil changes; steering systems;
- Perform service/repairs on gas or diesel engines.
- Communicate with facility manager to ensure timely part ordering and job completion
Qualifications and Skills
- 3 years related experience
- Certificates are preferred but not required
- Own tools to complete all necessary repairs and diagnostics
- Experience working on Marine engines and electrical systems
- Able to bend, squat, kneel, crawl, and access tight spaces
- Able to lift 60-70 lbs regularly
- Stand for multiple hours throughout the day.
Job Type: Full-time, hours 7:30-4:00pm Monday-Friday
