This role involves scheduling routes, monitoring driver performance, ensuring compliance with FMCSA regulations, and serving as the main communication link between drivers, customers, and management.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDispatch & Scheduling -Register, assign, schedule and coordinate drivers and equipment for delivery -Monitor routes in real-time and adjust schedules as needed for delays, breakdowns, etc. -Invoice customers in timely fashionDriver Management -Supervise and support drivers, ensuring adherence to safety policies, driving regulations, and company standards -Maintain driver logs, hours-of-service records and performance data -Conduct regular check-ins with drivers -Manage onboarding process with new hiresCommunication & Coordination -Serve as the main point of contact between drivers, customers and internal departments -Relay job details, route information, and updates to drivers clearly and promptly -Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and service updates professionally -Work to minimize service disruptions due to unforeseen circumstanceCompliance & Reporting -Ensure compliance with DOT/FMCSA and company safety policies -Maintain accurate records of deliveries, incidents and vehicle maintenance -Prepare reporting on fleet activity to measure performance
