Summary
The Director of Operations works closely with the President to strategize and develop long-term plans that support new levels of productivity and success. This position collaborates with executive-level management in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans. The Director of Operations works to maximize efficiency and productivity through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental collaboration. The position also oversees all day to day operations and operational staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Sets strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity.
· Works with leadership in the development of financial and budgetary plans.
· Analyzes current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement where necessary.
· Develops, implements, and monitors day-to-day operational systems and processes to provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives.
· Responsible for driving improvement in key performance indicators relating to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
· Regularly engages with current and prospective customers from day to day operational matters to strategic development discussions.
· Draws on relationships with department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals.
· Plans, monitors, and analyzes key metrics for day-to-day operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.
· Devises strategies for ensuring the growth of programs enterprise-wide, and implement process improvements to maximize output and minimize costs.
· Upholds the organization's policies and standards, and ensures that rules and regulations are being followed.
· Partners with management to cultivate a high-integrity environment where team members feel included, trusted, and motivated.
· Supervises muti shift team of operational staff, fostering individual and professional growth and development of supervised staff.
· Other duties as necessary or assigned.
Position Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration or related field preferred.
· Ten or more years in a senior leadership role in a relevant field preferred.
· Experience in sheet metal and fabrication industry preferred.
· Previous technical or engineering experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, production, and employee management.
· Proven ability to plan and manage operational process for maximum efficiency and productivity.
· Ability to streamline or implement new structures and roles that boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business demands.
· Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines.
· Experience in developing budgets and business plans.
· Proven ability to develop innovative solutions that lead to increased productivity.
· Superior negotiation skills for both internal and external purposes.
· Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, backed up by previous professional success.
· Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics using business management software (ex: SAP, ERP, CRM).
· Experience working with ECI JobBOSS preferred.
Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
