Duties
- Greet and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments efficiently
- Manage patient records and update information accurately within the electronic health record system
- Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide necessary information about services
- Verify insurance details and process billing or payments as needed
- Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure smooth workflow
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Support staff with administrative duties when required
Requirements
- Prior experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in office software and electronic health records systems
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with medical administrative support tasks such as billing or insurance verification is a plus
