Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional tow trucks, to recover and transport vehicles safely.
- Perform vehicle recovery towing using vehicle mechanics knowledge to troubleshoot minor mechanical issues on-site.
- Secure cargo properly following cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit.
- Conduct safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and load capacity limits.
- Assist with car towing, vehicle mechanics for truck drivers, and minor mechanical repairs as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining procedures, and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Follow all safety procedures related to driving, cargo securement, and vehicle recovery operations to maintain a safe work environment.
Experience
- Proven experience operating commercial trucks and tow trucks, including manual transmission vehicles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive diagnostics and basic vehicle troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with automotive repair or mechanic work is highly desirable.
- Skilled in conflict management to handle challenging situations professionally and calmly.
- Knowledge of cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading practices is essential.
- Valid commercial driving license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving preferred.
- Prior experience in vehicle recovery towing or roadside assistance roles is a plus.
