Summary Of Responsibilities
The OER Intern will play a critical role in the library's partnership with the HSI STEM - Project HOPE initiative. This high-impact position is designed for an Engineering student to leverage their subject expertise in the critical identification, evaluation, and curation of high-quality, free-to-use Open Educational Resources (OER) for Engineering courses. The successful intern will work closely with the Library Director and the HSI STEM Grant Director and will gain expertise in resource discovery and intellectual property/licensing in an academic context.

Essential Functions
- Search various online platforms (Merlot, Mason OER Metafinder, OER Commons, OpenStax, OASIS, National Science Digital Library, etc.) to locate OER textbooks.
- Search various online platforms (YouTube videos, TED Talks with Creative Commons Licenses, etc.) to locate videos that could be used to supplement
Additional Required Expectations
- Assist with other library tasks as needed.
- Be enrolled as full-time student at Schreiner University.
- Background in engineering preferably an upper-level student.
- General knowledge of library's services, spaces, and collections.
- Familiarity with modern web platforms such as Content Management Systems (CMS).
- Experience with searching online platforms and basic research skills.
