Adjunct Instructor – Agriculture and Natural Resource Management (Applied Plant Biology)
The Department of Agriculture and Natural Resource Management at Schreiner University seeks qualified part-time Adjunct Instructor to teach Applied Plant Biology.
Applied Plant Biology focuses on the study of plant biology and its application to agriculture and natural resource management. The course covers plant physiology, genetics, biotechnology, pathology, and the relationship between plants and their environment. It also explores the application of this knowledge to crop improvement, pest and disease management, and ecosystem conservation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Applied Plant Biology lecture (material delivery and assessment of student learning).
- Develop and implement course materials aligned with departmental and University standards.
- Evaluate and provide timely feedback on student performance.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and course documentation.
- Engage collaboratively with faculty and participate in departmental meetings as appropriate.
- Online modalities are an option with prior experience.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
- Master’s degree in agriculture, natural resource management, or a related field.
- Successful teaching and administrative experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with faculty and University committees and with public and private organizations both within or beyond his or her discipline.
- Must have a valid Texas driver’s license, related insurance, and good driving record.
