About the Firm
Schouest, Bamdas, Soshea, BenMaier & Eastham PLLC (“SBSB Eastham”) is a rapidly growing defense firm with offices in Houston, Dallas, Galveston, Corpus Christi, New Orleans, Chicago, Boca Raton, and Milwaukee. Our team handles a broad range of Litigation and Defense Base Act (DBA) matters.

About the Summer Associate Role
Our 2026 Summer Associate Program is designed to provide law students with a meaningful and authentic glimpse into life at a busy defense firm. From day one, you’ll work directly with partners and associates, gaining substantial legal experience and contributing to real casework that makes a difference. Students may join us for the first half, the second half, or the full summer.
Summer Associates will:
- Draft and revise legal documents
- Conduct legal research on DBA and Litigation matters
- Review discovery materials, claims documents, and medical records
- Prepare for and observe hearings, depositions, mediations, and strategy meetings
- Take part in client communications and case preparation
In addition to hands-on legal work, our Summer Associates gain a genuine understanding of our culture. You’ll be encouraged to connect with attorneys at all levels, explore different practice areas, and choose assignments that interest you. We also host a variety of social and professional events throughout the summer, giving you the chance to build relationships and see what it’s like to be part of our firm outside of day-to-day work.
