Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, slicers, and other culinary tools
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling, sanitation practices, and equipment maintenance
- Collaborate with dietary department staff to accommodate special dietary needs and ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production, timing, and service flow
Skills
- Proven experience in food industry settings such as restaurants, catering, or institutional kitchens with a focus on food safety management
- Strong culinary skills including knife techniques, slicing methods, and meal preparation expertise
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen team members and front-of-house staff
- Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
