Delivers a high level of quality support in the area of Real Estate loan origination to Real Estate Department team members by providing service solutions and assistance with the loan origination process, underwriting clarification, escalation and advanced file review resulting in World Class Personal Service to our Members. Provide high level of knowledge and support on Help Desk functions.

What You’ll Be Doing
Delivers a high level of quality support in the area of Real Estate loan origination to Real Estate Department team members by providing service solutions and assistance with the loan origination process, underwriting clarification, escalation and advanced file review resulting in World Class Personal Service to our Members. Provide high level of knowledge and support on Help Desk functions.
- Provides internal support to Loan Consultants by responding to inquiries and serving as the escalation point for team members seeking additional assistance with the loan origination process. Support may involve assisting loan consultants with the application process, product matrices, and clarification of underwriting guidelines, products and services.
- Conducts advanced review of loan applications submitted for exception; may present files to exception committee for review.
- Performs complex review of income documentation, such as tax returns, partnership tax returns, and corporate tax returns. Maintain a general knowledge of current UW guidelines.
- Reviews files recommended for decline (second review) to validate initial decision or provide recommendation to management for exception.
- Conducts routine audit of loan application files for quality control. Maintaining a vast knowledge of the current workflow.
- Monitor department compliance including ECOA – Regulation B process, HMDA, SAFE Act and timelines through the use of reports and loan consultant interaction. Report findings to ILC Manager and Real Estate VP of Loan Originations.
- Troubleshoots, identifies and resolves loan application issues / errors within the loan origination platform system(s). Provide assistance as escalated by support team.
- May assist with team onboarding and remedial training of consultants.
- Confirm accuracy of rate exception requests prior to management approval.
- Coordinates scheduling and distribution of funding confirmation calls to Members and Dispatch referral calls for loan consultants.
- May assist with loan consultant functions when necessary.
- Order and follow-up on outside 3rd party services, i.e. Appraisal, Escrow, Title, etc. Serve as the liaison with the 3rd party vendor, assisting in the management of these relationships. Maintain desk guides and assist team members on completing requests for these services.
- Manage and administer daily functions of the Lock Desk including, verifying our company’s daily loan pricing, manually locking and verifying new loan lock requests, lock reinstatements, and cancellations.
- Manage electronic communications received from Member in various channels.
- Assists with the training of team members and acts as a resource for technical guidance.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actions
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3-5 years real estate financing and underwriting experience required
- Register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry as a mortgage loan originator in accordance with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (the "SAFE Act") when applicable required
