What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse position at SCHOOLHOUSE PEDIATRICS?
Schoolhouse Pediatrics is a fast-paced and growing pediatric practice in the Capital District with three office locations. We are in need of a full-time Nurse for our Coxsackie location, but are willing to consider candidates seeking part-time employment.
Qualifications and skills needed:
- Friendly and personable
- Able to multitask and work efficiently
- Able to establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients and their families
- Able to help establish patient care goals and provide health education and promotion
- Able to maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Able to effectively communicate in verbal and written formats
- Able to administer oral, IM, subcutaneous, intradermal, and inhaled medications and immunizations
- Able to perform point of care testing as needed, including nasopharyngeal and pharyngeal swabs, capillary blood draws, and urine collection
- Proficient computer skills
