We are looking for a talented Education Specialist/Special Education Teacher to join our team for the school year.Full-time | 40 hours per week | 7:30 am - 4:00 pmRSP model (push in and out services)Caseload: ~25 shared between two Education SpecialistExperience working with TK-3rd grade Hourly Rate Range: $45.00-$65.00 per hourDuties and Responsibilities:Provide a basic core program for special education students using a district-approved curriculum.Plan curriculum, lessons, teaching methods and special education programs.Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.Assist the administration in implementing policies and rules governing student life and conduct. For the classroom, develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure and maintain order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.Assess student abilities and provide instructional and behavioral assistance for students in accordance with their individual education plan (IEP) and/or their 504-behavior plan as directed by the special education team.
