The Disability Support Services Advocate provides information, referrals, academic advising, accommodations, and advocacy for students with disabilities to ensure equal access to programs and services on campus. Ensures Schoolcraft College fulfills its obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the 1973 Rehabilitation Act.

Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling or Social Work. Credentialed as LPC, LLPC, or LMSW.
- Experience working with college students with disabilities.
- Possesses an in-depth knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the 1973 Rehabilitation Act.
- Knowledge and experience working with students in psychological distress.
- Exceptional customer service skills, student-centered approach, and demonstrated ability to relate well with the diverse populations of the college environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Training/Certification in crisis intervention.
- Training/Certification in suicide prevention.
- Knowledge and experience working with case management software.
