What are the responsibilities and job description for the Long-term Inclusion Substitute teacher position at School of Science and Technology - Spring?
Overview
This is a long-term substitute teaching position for the remainder of the school year. The ideal candidate will be working with the Special Education team with Inclusion classroom support. The ideal candidate will be providing academic Mathematics and Reading support in the classroom setting. The ideal candidate will collect data and log hours of service provided.
Duties
- Provide in-class, Special Education inclusion support for students with Special Education needs (i.e. Specific Learning Disability, Speech Impairment, Autism)
- Collaborate with special education staff and collect data to ensure student progress
- Log your provided service-hours during school hours
- Provide teacher lunch-duty
Skills
- Strong knowledge of understanding and working with students with learning disabilities
- Strong academic knowledge of elementary and upper elementary level in English and Mathematics
- Experience working with students in classroom settings
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with the Special Education team
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
