Music Teacher Skills

• Ability to teach vocals and/or multi-instruments
• 2 years’ experience teaching and/or performing music professionally
• Knowledge of music theory
• Computer knowledge needed

Music Teacher Requirements

• Ability to teach a wide range of student ages and skill levels
• Strong organizational skills
• Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor
• Lives in York/Harrisburg/Lancaster area (within 30-minute commute is ideal)
• Must pass background screening prior to training
• Available teaching shifts are between: Monday/Tuesday: 4pm to 9pm, Wednesday/Thursday: 2pm to 9pm

About Music Teacher & School of Rock

School of Rock offers lessons on 5 core instruments: keys, vocals, guitar, bass, and drums.

Our school is growing, and we need vocal instructors and multi-instrument music teachers. We also need musicians to become show directors to lead our rehearsals.

Ideal candidate is a working musician who also has formal music school training. Our instructors create a safe, yet cool, environment for students to achieve musical proficiency, ensuring each School of Rock student has an exceptional musical journey. Our students are in bands. We don’t teach music to put on shows, we put on shows to teach music.

We provide numerous tools that make teaching easy and informative. We offer paid training for all teachers. We provide method music books and access to our online apps to quickly get students rocking.
