Job Type: Part-Time
Pay: $18–$25 per hour
Schedule: Flexible afternoons, evenings, and weekends

School of Rock West Hartford is looking for a passionate Guitar Instructor to teach electric and/or acoustic guitar in our performance-based program. Our instructors help students grow as musicians while building confidence through live performance.

This role offers the opportunity to start part-time and grow into a more advanced or leadership role as enrollment increases.

Responsibilities

• Teach guitar lessons to students of all ages and experience levels
• Cover fundamentals including technique, chords, scales, rhythm, and tone
• Prepare students for band rehearsals and live performances
• Support ensemble programs as needed
• Track progress and communicate with parents and staff
• Maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment

Qualifications

• Proficiency on electric and/or acoustic guitar
• Teaching, coaching, or performance experience preferred
• Comfortable working with kids and teens
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Dependable and professional
