What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lunch Aide - Elementary School position at School Lane Charter School?
We are accepting applications for an individual to work as a Lunch Aide at our elementary school. This is a part-time position scheduled to work approximately 3 3/4 hours per day when school is in session.
The first day of school for students is August 24, 2026. Individual will attend one day of training during the week of August 17 (to be determined).
A lunch aide is responsible for the supervision and assistance of assigned students during lunch periods with orderly and organized recess activities. Duties include:
- Supports student activities to maintain a safe, secure, clean, and organized lunch time and safe playground recess
- Assists students with their lunches
- Monitors hall passes for bathrooms
- Monitors disputes between students
- Supervises students during outdoor and indoor recess
Position Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Experience in basic student management
- Skills in facilitation of non-competitive games
- Trained in required procedures of sanitary clean-up
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Excellent dependability and reliability
