Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Senior Accountant role located in Elgin, IL. The Senior Accountant will manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including maintaining financial records, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The role requires generating detailed analytical reports, assisting in budget creation and monitoring, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions, and supporting financial audits. Collaboration with cross-department teams is essential to drive financial accountability and transparency within the district.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in accounting and financial reporting, including expertise with spreadsheet and accounting software
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Thorough understanding of GAAP and regulatory compliance requirements for public entities
