Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic School Health Office Assistant to join our educational community. In this vital role, you will support the health and well-being of students by managing daily health office operations, providing basic medical care, and ensuring a safe and healthy environment. Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the school health office, including maintaining medical supplies and documentation
  • Provide first aid and basic medical assistance to students experiencing minor injuries or illnesses
  • Collect and record vital signs, symptoms, and other relevant health information
  • Support the administration of medications following proper protocols, including medication administration and documentation
  • Coordinate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to ensure timely communication regarding student health concerns
  • Maintain confidentiality of student health records in compliance with privacy regulations and school policies

Requirements

  • Prior experience in healthcare settings such as hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and emergency medicine practices
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR is required
  • Strong patient service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations calmly and professionally
  • Ability to perform intake procedures, take vital signs, and assist with medication administration accurately
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in medical office management tasks
