Job Summary:
The School Food Service Server/Prep Worker assists in preparing, serving, and maintaining quality meals for students and staff in a safe, clean, and efficient school cafeteria environment. This position supports daily food preparation, meal service, sanitation, and customer service activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash, cut, portion, and assemble ingredients for meal preparation
- Set up serving lines and food stations before meal service.
- Serve meals to students and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
- Maintain proper food temperatures and ensure food quality standards are met.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, work areas, and dining spaces.
- Wash dishes, trays, pots, and pans.
- Stock food, supplies, and serving areas as needed.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Assist with receiving and storing food deliveries.
- Support inventory control and minimize food waste.
- Work cooperatively with food service staff, school personnel, and students.
