Position Title: Coordinator of Federal Programs, Gifted and Talented, and Teacher Certification
Location: Office of Academics and Administration
Salary/Pay Scale/Days: Administrative Pay Scale / Grade 34 / 240 Days / 8 Hours
Requirements:
Must hold a Master's degree and be certified by the South Carolina Department of Education in their area of primary responsibility or be eligible for a certification permit in the area and meet annual permit renewal requirements toward adding the certification field in full. Must hold the South Carolina Gifted and Talented endorsement, or be in the process of obtaining this endorsement within one year of the date of hire. Three years of teaching and/or administrative experience. May require a valid state driver's license.
Description:
This position coordinates, administers and evaluates federal- and state-funded academic assistance programs and professional development funding for District teachers and administrators; develops program budgets and performs related fiscal management and reporting. Provides professional leadership in the development, implementation and oversight of District programs for academically gifted students. Performs related professional, supervisory and administrative duties as required. This position is under limited supervision.
