The mission of the PVHS 9th Grade Success Team is to create a community of support and accountability by providing a safe learning environment with scaffolded transitions for incoming ninth graders. We create a sense of belonging through structure for the development of students, in partnership with staff and families, to become critical-thinking global citizens.
This position includes World Issues (a geography-based course) and Fact vs. Fiction (a history course). The desired candidate is collaborative and employs a growth mindset.

Required Qualifications
- A valid Colorado Department of Education Teaching License.
- Colorado Department of Education “In Field” by CDE endorsement or qualifications to teach the posted subject area.
- The ability to handle many complex tasks simultaneously.
- The ability and interest to be part of a high-functioning team. (Having respected and trusted colleagues, preferably as teammates, makes the demands of teaching sustainable.)
- The ability and interest to learn continuously and to adapt to changing circumstances (student characteristics, curriculum, and so on).
- A belief in empowering all children as owners of their learning.
