Pennock Elementary is seeking a passionate and innovative 5th Grade Gifted and Talented Classroom Teacher to support our Achieve Institute, a school-within-a-school model designed to meet the academic and social-emotional needs of advanced learners. This educator will foster student ownership, curiosity, and high levels of achievement by creating engaging learning experiences where students are doing the thinking, talking, reading, and writing. We are committed to developing independent, motivated learners and seek an educator who embraces productive struggle, designs rigorous instruction with both a low entry point and high ceiling, and is excited to contribute to a collaborative and innovative school community. Grounded in our pillars of Professionalism, Performance, Partnership, and Play, staff at Pennock work within strong PLC and MTSS structures, using multiple data sources to inform instruction and personalize learning. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position and is eligible for benefits.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide rigorous, differentiated instruction aligned to Colorado Academic Standards and best practices in gifted education
- Design integrated, inquiry-based learning experiences that extend and enrich student thinking
- Use student data and progress monitoring tools to guide instruction and support growth
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support differentiation and extension within the general education setting
- Participate in PLCs and MTSS processes to support both academic and social-emotional student needs
- Support development of student independence, goal setting, and self-advocacy
- Communicate effectively with families and contribute to a positive, collaborative school culture
- A valid Colorado Department of Education Teaching License/Authorization.
- Meet Colorado Department of Education "In Field" endorsement or qualifications requirements for the posted subject area.
- The ability to handle many complex tasks simultaneously.
- The ability and interest to be part of a high-functioning team.
- The ability and interest to learn continuously and to adapt to changing circumstances (student characteristics, curriculum, and so on).
